First human tests begin for experimental cancer treatment

Summary
This early-stage trial is testing a new cancer drug called BMS-986517 in adults with advanced solid tumors that have spread or cannot be surgically removed. The main goals are to determine if the drug is safe, what side effects it causes, and what dose works best. Researchers will also check if the drug helps shrink tumors in patients with various cancers including lung, head and neck, and breast cancers.
