First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at nearly 2,000 very obese pregnant women (BMI 45 or higher) who had a C-section to see how well spinal anesthesia worked. The goal was to find out how often the block failed and led to general anesthesia, and to track side effects for both mother and baby. The results help doctors better understand the risks and plan safer care for this group.
