First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a treatment called BM111 to remove two types of antibiotic-resistant bacteria (CRE and VRE) from the gut of healthy carriers. About 38 adults who carry these bacteria but do not have an active infection will receive either BM111 or a placebo. The goal is to see if BM111 can safely reduce or eliminate these bacteria, lowering the risk of future infections.
