NCT ID NCT07170878

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking blueberry supplements during football training helps reduce muscle damage, improve liver health, and support breathing. 36 male teen football players were split into three groups: some did only training, some added blueberries, and some added blueberries plus extra exercise. After 8 weeks, researchers measured muscle injury markers, liver enzymes, and lung function to see if blueberries made a difference.
