Could blue light supercharge a brain implant for epilepsy?
NCT ID NCT06304389
Summary
This study is testing if exposure to blue light can make an existing vagus nerve stimulator (VNS) more effective for people with hard-to-treat epilepsy. Researchers will measure changes in brain waves and eye responses in 34 participants who have the implant. The goal is to see if light can boost the implant's effects, potentially leading to better seizure control.
