Blue dye tested to help surgeons spot kidney tube problems in kids

NCT ID NCT06448143

Summary

This study is testing a blue dye called Bludigo® to see if it's safe and works well for helping surgeons check if children's ureters (the tubes from kidneys to bladder) are open during surgery. It will enroll about 18 children under 17 years old who are having urological or gynecological surgery. Doctors will inject the dye during the operation and watch on video for 10 minutes to see how clearly the blue color shows up in the urine flow from each ureter.
