Mini device offers new hope for tiniest hearts

Summary

This study tests a small device called the BLOOM Micro-Occluder to close a heart hole (PDA) in premature babies. About 55 babies weighing between 600 and 2500 grams will receive the device. The goal is to see if it is safe and works well over 6 months.
