NCT ID NCT06285604
Summary
This study aims to find out which of three processed types of red blood cell transfusions works best for treating anemia in newborns. Researchers will observe 200 anemic babies who receive either irradiated, washed, or filtered red blood cells. They will measure how well the transfusions improve blood counts, brain oxygen levels, and whether they cause unwanted inflammation.
