Scientists test safety of 'Cleaned' blood transfusions
NCT ID NCT07152379
Summary
This study aims to understand the safety of a special type of processed red blood cells used in transfusions. Researchers will give small transfusions to people who either have or do not have antibodies against these processed cells. The main goal is to see if the transfusions trigger harmful immune reactions or cause the body to destroy the new blood cells too quickly.
