Korean study tests if blood thinners work differently in asian patients

NCT ID NCT06874894

Summary

This study aims to understand how well blood thinners work and how safe they are for Korean patients with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat). Researchers want to see if these medications effectively prevent strokes while minimizing bleeding risks, which may be different in Asian populations compared to Western patients. The study will follow over 1,000 Korean patients already taking or needing these medications.
