Doctors seek safer way to scan Kids' heads
NCT ID NCT07397091
Summary
This study aims to see if common blood tests, like a complete blood count or glucose check, can help doctors decide which children with minor head injuries truly need a CT scan. It will look back at data from 800 children to see if patterns in these routine blood markers can predict a positive scan result. The goal is to create a tool to reduce unnecessary CT scans and radiation exposure in kids.
