Could a simple blood test replace painful bone marrow biopsies?

NCT ID NCT03521596

Summary

This study aimed to see if blood and urine tests could be as good as bone marrow biopsies for diagnosing and monitoring a rare blood cancer called Waldenström's macroglobulinemia. Researchers compared test results from 300 patients to find less invasive ways to track the disease. The goal was to make monitoring easier and more comfortable for patients.
