Blood test may replace painful scopes for kids with food allergies

NCT ID NCT07023380

First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new blood test that aims to identify which foods are triggering eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) in children. About 50 kids with EoE will have their blood tested, then follow a diet based on the results. The goal is to see if the blood test can accurately predict food triggers, potentially reducing the need for repeated endoscopies.
