New blood test aims to spot deadly bile duct cancer earlier
NCT ID NCT07176962
Summary
This study is testing a new blood test designed to improve the detection and management of bile duct cancers, which are often diagnosed late and have poor survival rates. The test looks for specific chemical markers released by cancer cells into the bloodstream. Researchers will enroll 1800 people, including patients with bile duct cancer, other cancers, benign conditions, and healthy volunteers, to see how accurately the test can identify cancer and distinguish it from non-cancerous problems.
