New study checks if Finger-Prick blood tests are as accurate as standard lab tests

NCT ID NCT07287618

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two ways of measuring potassium and ionized calcium in blood from a finger prick. About 425 adults will give a small blood sample, which will be tested on both a handheld device and a standard lab machine. The goal is to see if the portable test gives results that match the lab test. No treatment or medication is involved.
