New device aims to save ICU Patients' blood during tests
NCT ID NCT06478160
Summary
This study is testing whether a closed blood sampling device can help critically ill patients in intensive care by reducing the amount of blood taken for lab tests. Researchers will compare this device to standard methods to see if it leads to fewer blood transfusions and fewer problems with the arterial line. The trial involves 216 adult ICU patients who are expected to need an arterial catheter for at least three more days.
