Your own blood could be the key to less painful wisdom tooth recovery

NCT ID NCT07320170

Summary

This study tested whether applying two different materials made from a patient's own blood could help people heal better after wisdom tooth surgery. Forty-two patients had their wisdom teeth removed, and some received either Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) or Concentrated Growth Factor (CGF) in the extraction site. Researchers wanted to see if these treatments reduced pain, facial swelling, and the chance of getting a painful dry socket compared to standard healing.
