Common blood pressure pills may be secretly harming your teeth, study suggests

NCT ID NCT06709352

Summary

This study looked at whether common blood pressure medications might increase the risk of cavities on tooth roots in older adults. Researchers examined 209 patients aged 50-70 in Egypt who were taking these drugs, checking their teeth and saliva. The goal was to see if there is a link and to identify other risk factors, like saliva acidity, to help improve dental care for seniors.
