First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at how three common blood pressure medicines (beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, and calcium channel blockers) affect balance and the chance of falling in people newly diagnosed with high blood pressure. About 186 adults will take one of the three drugs and have their balance tested before starting, at 2 weeks, and at 4 weeks. The goal is to help doctors choose the safest option for each patient.
