NCT ID NCT06041529
First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new three-drug combination (telmisartan, amlodipine, and chlorthalidone) works better than another three-drug combo (telmisartan, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide) for elderly patients whose blood pressure remains high despite taking two drugs. About 198 people aged 65 and older with essential hypertension will take one of the two combinations for up to 26 weeks. The main goal is to see which combo lowers nighttime blood pressure more effectively and safely.
