Gentle arm bands may help seniors regain strength after hip fracture
NCT ID NCT07291765
Summary
This study is testing a gentle form of exercise called blood flow restriction training to see if it's safe and helpful for older adults recovering from a hip fracture in the hospital. Participants will do light exercises while wearing special bands on their legs that slightly reduce blood flow, which may help build muscle without heavy weights. The goal is to see if this method improves leg strength, mobility, and reduces the risk of falls compared to a sham treatment.
