New 'Blood Flow' training could boost weak hands in kids with CP

NCT ID NCT07347795

Summary

This study is testing a special exercise method called blood flow restriction training to see if it can safely improve hand grip strength in children with hemiparetic cerebral palsy. Researchers will work with 40 children, aged 6 to 12, who have weakness on one side of their body. The goal is to see if this low-intensity training can help build muscle strength in the affected hand, which could make daily tasks easier and improve quality of life.
