Tourniquet-Style therapy aims to speed up ankle surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07451210

Summary

This study is testing if adding blood flow restriction therapy to standard physical therapy helps people recover better after ankle ligament reconstruction surgery. About 105 adults who have had this surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either standard therapy or therapy with the blood flow restriction technique. Researchers will compare muscle strength, ankle function, pain, and other recovery measures between the two groups after at least 6 weeks of treatment.
