First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests a special exercise method called blood flow restriction training in hospitalized adults over 65 who are recovering from a hip fracture. Instead of heavy weights, participants do low-intensity exercises while wearing a cuff that partially limits blood flow to the muscles. The goal is to see if this approach can safely improve muscle strength and mobility, helping seniors recover more effectively.
