Can restricting blood flow during Push-Ups boost your arm explosiveness?
NCT ID NCT07015515
Summary
This study looked at how doing push-ups with a special cuff that partially restricts blood flow affects short-term explosive arm power. Researchers tested 30 young volleyball players, having them perform push-ups under three different conditions: with blood flow restriction, with a fake restriction, and with no restriction. They measured how far and fast the athletes could throw a medicine ball right after the exercises to see which method might temporarily improve performance.
