Gentle exercise with a twist shows promise for faster knee recovery
NCT ID NCT07299461
Summary
This study tested if adding a special type of low-intensity exercise, called blood flow restriction training, to standard physical therapy could help people recover better after knee surgery. The goal was to see if this combination improved muscle strength, reduced pain, and lessened fear of moving the knee. A small group of 36 adults who had recent meniscus surgery and were experiencing pain participated in the eight-week trial.
