Scientists test pill to stop Pre-Cancer blood condition
NCT ID NCT07435636
Summary
This study tests whether a low-dose oral medication can prevent a high-risk blood condition from progressing to blood cancer. Researchers will enroll 80 older adults with a specific blood cell disorder and randomly assign them to receive either the active medication or a placebo pill for 24 weeks. The goal is to see if the treatment safely reduces abnormal blood cells and restores normal blood production.
