Hospital study aims to cut down unnecessary blood tests for kids

NCT ID NCT06187662

Summary

This study is testing two different approaches to help pediatric intensive care units reduce unnecessary blood culture tests. Researchers are working with eight pediatric ICUs to see which strategy works better at lowering test rates while maintaining patient safety. The goal is to learn how to implement these changes effectively and reduce unnecessary antibiotic use in critically ill children.
