Finger-Prick blood test could replace needle draws in routine lab work
NCT ID NCT07260799
First seen Dec 24, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study checks whether a new device that collects blood from a finger-prick (capillary blood) gives the same results as a standard needle draw from a vein. About 150 healthy adults and patients with certain abnormal lab values will provide both types of blood samples during one visit. The goal is to see if the finger-prick method is accurate enough for routine lab testing.
