Scientists probe mysterious blood clotting in rare disease patients

NCT ID NCT03560570

Summary

This study aimed to understand blood clotting patterns in people with congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG), a rare genetic condition. Researchers tested 57 patients using advanced blood tests to see if their clotting system is balanced or tilted toward too much or too little clotting. The goal was to learn why these patients sometimes experience stroke-like episodes and other blood vessel problems.
