New test aims to spot deadly blood clots in cancer patients before they strike

NCT ID NCT06051214

Summary

This study is testing whether a new blood test can predict which cancer patients are most likely to develop dangerous blood clots. Researchers will track 200 patients with lung, pancreatic, stomach, or brain cancer for one year after they start treatment, taking monthly blood samples. The goal is to see if changes in the blood test results can warn doctors about clot risk before it happens.
