Study tests injections to stop deadly blood clots in new mothers

NCT ID NCT01588171

Summary

This study aimed to prevent dangerous blood clots in high-risk mothers after childbirth. It compared two different blood-thinning injections (Bemiparin and Enoxaparin) given after both vaginal deliveries and C-sections. The goal was to see which medication was more effective and safer at preventing clots, which are a leading cause of maternal death.
