Scientists track Blood's clue to heart rhythm risk

NCT ID NCT04947657

Summary

This study aims to understand if certain markers in the blood related to clotting are connected to how much atrial fibrillation (AFib) a person experiences. Researchers will observe about 20 people with AFib who are scheduled for a standard catheter ablation procedure. They will collect blood samples before, during, and after the procedure and monitor heart rhythms to see if changes in clotting markers correlate with changes in AFib.
