Scientists investigate why one blood disorder turns into another

Summary
This study aims to understand why some patients with a blood cancer called essential thrombocythemia (ET) later develop a related cancer called polycythemia vera (PV). Researchers will look back at the medical records of 678 patients to identify risk factors for this change and compare the health outcomes of patients whose disease changed versus those who had PV from the start. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors better predict and manage these conditions.
