New approach to halt deadly brain bleeds in blood thinner patients

NCT ID NCT06096051

Summary

This study tested whether a fixed dose of a drug called 4-factor PCC is safe and effective at stopping brain bleeds in people taking certain blood thinners. It involved 76 adults who had a brain bleed and were taking rivaroxaban or apixaban. Researchers compared a fixed dose to a weight-based dose to see which worked better to control the bleeding.
