New laser technique may improve bladder cancer surgery outcomes
NCT ID NCT07534631
First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study compared two surgical techniques for removing early-stage bladder tumors: a new laser method (holmium laser en-bloc resection) and the standard approach (conventional transurethral resection). A total of 100 adults with suspected non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer were randomly assigned to one of the two procedures. The goal was to see which method provides better quality tissue samples and fewer complications like bleeding or bladder perforation.
