Summary
This study tested whether an investigational drug called V117957 could safely reduce pain and discomfort in women with interstitial cystitis, also known as bladder pain syndrome. In this small, early-stage trial, 47 participants received either the drug or a placebo to compare their effects. The main goal was to see if the drug could lower patients' worst daily bladder pain scores.
