Simple saline solution could prevent dangerous bladder injuries during risky childbirth surgeries
NCT ID NCT07050082
Summary
This study tested whether filling the bladder with saline solution during surgery could help prevent bladder injuries in women with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), a serious pregnancy complication. Researchers compared 84 women with PAS who either received the bladder-filling technique or standard care during their delivery surgery. The goal was to see if this simple technique could reduce bladder injuries, which are common and serious complications in these high-risk deliveries.
