Tiny implant shows promise for reducing sudden bladder leaks

NCT ID NCT03596671

Summary

This study tested a small, implantable device that gently stimulates a nerve in the ankle to help control overactive bladder symptoms. It involved 282 adult women who had been struggling with sudden, uncontrollable urine leaks for at least six months. Researchers measured if the device safely reduced the number of leakage episodes over a 12-month period.
