New urine test could spare thousands from unnecessary bladder scopes
NCT ID NCT07307300
Summary
This study is testing a new urine test called Xpert® Bladder Cancer Detect to see if it can accurately identify which patients with hidden blood in their urine are at higher risk for bladder cancer. Researchers will enroll about 1,475 adults over 40 to see if combining this test with other patient information can improve risk assessment compared to current methods. The goal is to help doctors decide who truly needs an invasive scope test, potentially reducing unnecessary procedures for many people.
