New shot targets bladder tumors in early trial
NCT ID NCT05483868
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new drug, belzupacap sarotalocan, injected directly into bladder tumors to see if it's safe and feasible. About 55 adults with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer will receive the injection, sometimes with a laser. The goal is to control the disease, not cure it, and researchers will monitor side effects and tumor response for up to a year.
