New drug duo offers hope to bladder cancer patients: keep your bladder, skip major surgery

NCT ID NCT06809140

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of two drugs, enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab, can effectively treat muscle-invasive bladder cancer. The goal is to see if the drugs can shrink the tumor enough so that some patients can avoid having their bladder surgically removed. About 47 patients will receive the drug combination first, and those who respond very well will continue with more treatment to try and keep their bladder.
