Simple pee test could spare thousands from painful bladder exams

Summary
This study is testing whether a new urine lab test can help doctors decide which patients with microscopic blood in their urine really need a cystoscopy—an invasive camera exam of the bladder. About 1,000 adults referred to a urologist for this condition will be randomly assigned to either have their doctor use the test result or follow standard care. The main goal is to see if using the test safely reduces the total number of cystoscopies performed.
