First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at 150 people with early-stage bladder cancer who had surgery to remove tumors. After surgery, their bladder was washed with one of three fluids: distilled water, normal saline, or hypertonic saline. The goal was to see if the type of fluid could lower the chance of cancer coming back within 6 months. The results could help doctors choose the best irrigation fluid to reduce recurrence.
