Tiny implant offers hope for millions struggling with embarrassing leaks
NCT ID NCT05064384
Summary
This study looked at how well a small, implanted nerve stimulation device works for adults with bladder or bowel control problems. The device sends gentle electrical pulses to nerves near the tailbone to help reduce symptoms like sudden leaks, frequent bathroom trips, or difficulty emptying the bladder. Researchers followed 272 people for one year after they received the device to see if their symptoms and quality of life improved.
