Could black mulberry mouthwash beat gum disease?

NCT ID NCT07499596

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether a mouthwash made from black mulberry can improve gum health when used alongside standard deep cleaning. Thirty adults with gingivitis (early gum disease) will be split into two groups: one gets cleaning alone, the other adds the mulberry mouthwash twice daily for two weeks. Researchers will measure gum inflammation, immune markers, and bacteria levels over three months to see if the natural mouthwash provides extra benefit.
