New injection tested to fight dangerous virus in transplant patients
NCT ID NCT07503561
Summary
This study is testing whether weekly injections of an investigational drug called AIC263029 can safely reduce BK virus levels in the blood of recent kidney transplant recipients. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the active drug or a placebo injection for four weeks. Researchers will monitor virus levels and safety for about six months to see if the treatment helps control this common transplant complication.
