Brain wave tracking cuts Kids' surgery sickness

NCT ID NCT07189845

Summary

This study tested whether using a brain monitor to guide anesthesia depth could reduce nausea and vomiting in children after adenoid surgery. It involved 58 children aged 3-8 who were randomly assigned to receive either brain-monitored anesthesia or standard care. The main goal was to see if this approach lowered the rate of post-surgery sickness in the first 24 hours.
