NCT ID NCT07536763
First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a newer birth control pill (estetrol-drospirenone) against an older one (ethinylestradiol-levonorgestrel) to see which has fewer effects on blood vessel health and metabolism. About 98 women aged 18-49 who want contraception will take one of the pills for a year. Researchers will measure artery function, blood pressure, and blood markers to find a safer option.
