Scientists launch major hunt for clues to mysterious eye disease
NCT ID NCT05153057
Summary
This study aims to better understand birdshot chorioretinopathy, a rare inflammatory eye disease. Researchers will follow 600 patients over time, using eye scans and vision tests to map the different ways the disease appears and changes. A key goal is to search for new genetic factors, beyond the known HLA-A29 link, that might make someone susceptible to developing the condition.
